Ministry

The Celtic Church In Scotland has clergy all over the British Isles, provding Christian Celtic Worship. All our deacons and priests are fully ordained in the Celtic Apostolic Church and can provide Christian services of the Church.

The locations in the British Isles of our clergy are as follows:

  • Lanarkshire

Each of the individual churches and communities of the Celtic Church in Scotland's clergy all provide their own services, under the rule of the Celtic Church.

The Most Reverend Bishop Dr David Stalker passed on Bishop Primus to The Most Reverend Bishop Norman MacLeod of the Celtic Apostolic Church (CAC) in 2009.


Bishop Stalker lives just south of Edinburgh from where he provides reassuring guidance to the church. In addition, he oversees the whole organisation, The Celtic Church in Scotland, comprising the CAC and the Celtic Order of Saint Adamnan (COSA) which trains and recruits monks and clergy under the watchful eye of its Abbot, The Right Reverend Julian Roche.



The Most Reverend Bishop Norman MacLeod, Bishop Primus of the Celtic Apostolic Church and Bishop of Monteith and the Highlands lives with his wife Margaret in the historic village of Blackness 15 miles west of Edinburgh.


Employed in the Petrochemical Industry, Bishop Norman holds Sunday services in his home, and travels all over Scotland to perform Celtic Weddings and Baptisms.



The Right Reverend Abbot Julian Roche is Abbot of the Celtic Order of St Adamnan. Abbot Julian is responsible for the roll of training new clergy for service within the Celtic Apostolic Church.He is also the priest on the Black Isle


As a qualified teacher, Abbot Julian is well suited for this roll in Gods service, and hopes to bring many new clergy into service in Gods name during his time as Abbot of the Celtic Order of St Adamnan.



Fr. William Ireland is the Priest with overall responsibility for overseeing the daily responsibilities within the Oratory and the Parish.


The Oratory of ss Piran & Petroc A Celtic Ministry, based in West Cornwall, aiming to meet the needs of the Cornish and those living in Cornwall. It is our wish to show the way down the Celtic path to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Much of the Celtic way has been lost in the mists of time, but now you may journey with us to rediscover and establish again the Celtic Way in Cornwall. We are here to help you on your life journey and to facilitate the times of lifes cross roads. The cross roads many know are birth, marriage and death, there are many more times when we may need to find a special way to mark a milestone in our lives. We are happy to help you by being the celebrant at your ceremony.The Oratory covers the local Fishing communities in Cornwall and the local areas of Haemoor, Newlyn and Penzance. His daily contact with the communities has such rewarding challenges especially when called upon in times of emergencies or the aftermath of sudden and unexpected events.


Having Ministered in one of the countries largest Cathedrals, and in Parish churches, Fr William is well experienced to serve his flock. He is well qualified and possesses a varied and wide knowledge of liturgies of many Churches. When required to do so, he is willing to travel anywhere within the UK, Ireland and even further afield.
